Domenico Capilongo
Head Instructor
Our head instructor, Domenico Capilongo has over 35 years of teaching and practice experience. He is a former Provincial kumite champion, National Medalist, and International Wado Championship Competitor. Domenico has previously trained and competed two years in Japan and holds Karate Canada 5th Dan and Wado Academy 6th Dan. He has also practiced in Olympic Wrestling, basic Judo, Kendo, and Aikido.
Domenico also holds a National Coaching Certificate Program Level 1
Ali Mirkarimi
Assistant Instructor
Over 20 years of teaching and practice experience. Former Provincial kumite champion and International Wado Championship Competitor. Holds a Wado Academy 4th Dan. Has also practiced in Iaido and Kung fu to’a.

Ali Mirkarimi
Assistant Instructor
Our assistant instructor Ali Mirkarimi has over 30 years of teaching and practice experience. He is a former Provincial kumite champion and International Wado Championship Competitor. Ali holds a Wado Academy 5th Dan. He has also practiced Iaido and Iranian Kung fu To’a.
Ali also holds a National Coaching Certificate Program Level 1.
John Vasquez
Assistant Instructor
John is a highly skilled and accomplished Karate instructor with a 3rd Dan Black belt. He has trained under esteemed figures in the martial arts world and represented the Philippines in World Karate Federation-sanctioned events. With years of experience, John has made significant contributions as an instructor, mentoring and training students who have achieved success in invitational karate championships.
He has also served as a head coach, leading his team to victory in the Philippine National Games. John’s expertise is recognized internationally, and he has conducted high-level training programs for Kata Competitors. His exceptional achievements have earned him prestigious awards, and he consistently ranks highly in national and international competitions. As an unwavering instructor, John has produced medalists in regional and national championships and trained athletes who have become members of the Philippine National Karate team.
With his commitment to sharing his knowledge, John conducts special training sessions and has served as a guest instructor at various dojos, including the Nox Dojo in Markham, Ontario.
His international successes further showcase his dedication and skill. With his wealth of experience and passion for Karate, John is an exceptional mentor who inspires his students to excel in the art of martial arts.

Efren Cruz
Assistant Instructor
Efren brings years of experience to our dojo teaching our youth, adults, and competitors. His martial arts journey began by learning the basics of the art of Arnis in the Philippines. He has achieved a level of 5th Kyu in Shotokan karate before focusing on Wado-Ryu. He has a Karate Canada and Wado Academy Shodan.
